Deutsches Haus OPEN HOUSE for WINTER 2010 Term: January 8th, 2010, 4:30-6:30pm

Please join us for our Open House afternoon. You will have the chance to meet some of our teachers and ask questions about our Language and Cultural Programs. All of our textbooks will be on display for you to take a look at them. You will also be able to take our placement test to determine your proficiency level before you register for one of our wide range of classes. Information flyers about our upcoming Goethe-Institut Exams and Reading Knowledge Exams will be available. Coffee / Tea and cookies will be served.

Walking Tour: Search for Kleindeutschland/East Village

From 1855-1880 NYC had the third largest German population after Vienna and Berlin. Students will find out what is left of the old Kleindeutschland neighborhood. Among the inhabitants students will meet revolutionaries and the richest man of America. The tour will be spoken in German and English and is open to students of all levels.

The tour starts at Deutsches Haus, 42 Washington Mews.
There is a $30 registration fee.
Registration Deadline is the day before the event.
