Placement Test

If you have some knowledge of German, but are uncertain of the level for which you should register, we offer placement testing. The placement process consists of a multiple choice exam plus a conversation in German with our program coordinator to evaluate your speaking skills.

The fee for the placement exam is $20, which can be credited towards the payment of your course registration fee. Please make sure to claim your $20 refund on the registration form at the time of our registration. Otherwise we cannot issue applicable credits once the transaction has been completed.

Placement Test Instructions:

  1. Follow the link below and complete the registration form (only contact information, placement exam fee and payment information required).

  2. We will send you the LINK to the actual placement exam with a PAYMENT SEQUENCE number by e-mail. Please make sure to send us your CORRECT e-mail address, otherwise we will not be able to send you the link.

  3. Complete the placement exam to the best of your ability. The multiple choice questions get more advanced as you proceed.

  4. When you are finished check the box at the end of the exam to submit your form. Make sure you provide a phone number and an e-mail address at which we can contact you.

  5. Our program coordinator or one of our language instructors will call you for a short conversation in German to evaluate your speaking skills and suggest an appropriate class level.

  6. Choose a convenient class from our CLASS SCHEDULE and sign up for your course ONLINE, at Deutsches Haus or fax in or scan and e-mail us the PRINTABLE Registration Form.

MAKE SURE to check the PLACEMENT EXAM REFUND BOX and

to include the PAYMENT SEQUENCE NUMBER.

This refund can ONLY be claimed at the time of registration on the form.
