COURSE INFORMATION

The WINTER 2010 TERM courses for our youngest Deutsches Haus students run for ten weeks, one hour per week. 

Term begins:     Tuesday, January 19, 2010
Term ends:        Monday, March 29, 2010

The Pre-K class is for children ages 3-6 with at least one German speaking parent. In this class they will interact with the language through playing, handcrafts, singing and storytelling. Seasonal topics included. Each group is limited to 6 participants. No book required, no copy fee. Teacher: Katrin Roos

The DaF class (German as a Foreign Language) is for children who do not speak or understand German. They will learn how to communicate in German on a beginner's level based on the textbook Planetino 1 (see information below). Each level is divided inthree A, B, C courses according to the covered chapters. Topics include: greet and introduce yourself, numbers 1-20, family and friends description, classroom activities, clothes, colors, daily routine, day and time telling. The class requires 5 enrolled students and is limited to 10 children. No book required, no copy fee. Teacher: Tina Samartzi

The Bilingual class was created for children who know how to communicate in German. In this class they will learn how to read and write. All reading and writing skill levels are accepted. The goal of this class is to provide a fun yet educational learning environment similar to schools in Germany. A minimum of 5 students are required for each class and enrollment is limited to 10 students per class. No book required, no copy fee. Teacher: Deike Benjoya
