Kathrin DiPaola Bio
Kathrin DiPaola, a native of the German state Hesse, studied at the Universität Regensburg, where she received her B.A. in German and American Studies. After obtaining her M.A. in German Studies with a thesis on Kafka's fragment Amerika from Arizona State University, she was admitted to the University of Maryland, College Park where she earned her Ph.D. with a dissertation on German colonial novels in the South Pacific.
Since 2002, Kathrin DiPaola has been with Deutsches Haus, where she taught classes in the Language Program and served as Cultural Program Coordinator in the Cultural Section. She became the Director of Deutsches Haus in February 2005.
